Introduction to Food Microbiology Workshop
Please note – registration for this event is only available for new and existing food and drink manufacturers based in Wales, not for related organisations, consultants or students.
Who can attend
QA’s, junior technical team members, NPD and/or HACCP team members, technical professionals who wish to refresh their knowledge and hygiene team leaders.
Introduction to Microbiology Workshop
This workshop will provide delegates with a basic introduction to microbiology and its importance within food safety management. In the workshop we will discuss the following:
- Groups of micro-organisms
- Growth and survival of micro-organisms in food
- Food micro-organisms of concern
- How to develop a food microbiological testing plan
- How to interpret microbiological test results
- Sources of information for microbiological guidelines
- Swabbing and environmental monitoring
This is an interactive workshop held at ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre.
Attendance costs
Depending on your company size and eligibility, attendance at these workshops can be partially or fully funded.
The cost for each delegate attending the workshop will vary depending on the size of the company they work for. This is determined by Welsh Government funding regulations.
In the workshop registration form, you will be asked to provide company Subsidy Control information for the past three years and confirm the size of your company. Please refer to your finance business team to ensure this information is accurate as it may be subject to audit.
