Helen Taylor
Technical Director
As the Technical Director, Helen leads the technical team to work with companies across all product categories in the UK. Prior to her current position, Helen spent 17 years working in food manufacturing and retail businesses developing her technical skills and knowledge. Helen’s applied expertise in manufacturing, auditing and innovation encompasses all projects and product categories, from concept to consumer, ensuring the delivery of safe, legal and authentic products.
Helen is currently Chair of the Wales Branch of the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST). She is an active member of the Wales Food Advisory Committee, Food Standards Agency (FSA) and a member of the Technical Advisory Committee for SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval). Helen is also an active member of the UK Association for Food Protection (UKAFP) and is the Official Delegate to the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Council and Affiliate Council Secretary.
